What a great time! Many families came out to celebrate with the farm on New Year's Day! It was a wonderful celebration! We had to post pone the Paint A Post and will let you all know ASAP what the new date will be for it! Much gratitude to all of you who came out!

New Year's Farm Fest

Let's Gather at the farm and have a family day!

  • TIME: 2:30 - ?

Pot Luck & Paint A Post will begin at 2:30 & Full Moon Fire and Drum Circle will begin at 6:30!

 Bring a favorite dish to share and come out for an afternoon of delicious food and great company.  The Paint A Post will be ongoing throughout the day, for a small donation you and your family can paint a fence post! What a way to leave your mark out at the farm! We will provide the paint, you bring your brushes and creativity.

Individuals and Family Posts $15.00 per post and Businesses are $30.00.

All donations to the farm are tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds goes to get the farm growing!

 

And then at 6:30 we will be ready for the Bon Fire and Drum Circle! Come out and play with us and bring your favorite instrument! Lets share some laughs and make some music down on the farm!

Texas Hold Em Tourney! PDF Print E-mail

 The Texas Hold Em Tournament was not the success we had hoped and planned for. We would like to say as special thank you to South East Hold Em's dealers and CrossRoads Bar and Grill owner, Rudy. You were both Professional and supportive. Thank you!

We look forward to the planning of the next event and are actively seeking grant monies and are driven to create a place of education, fresh food, and community togetherness!

 

 

 

 
Fence Raising Success! PDF Print E-mail
The Fence Raising was a success! Twenty one volunteers came out to work to get the fence constructed! June 20th was one of the hottest days on record and the volunteers were all so positive and happy regardless! A great big Thank you for the enthusiasm and hard work. Saturday alone there were over 100 hours volunteered! There were many preceding Saturday, as well, Chris spent much of his time gathering materials, plans and following up with many of the volunteer. Thanks again to everyone who donated their time, energy and materials to this project!
 
Fence Raising Extravaganza on Saturday, June 20th! PDF Print E-mail

We have our first phase beginning! We are going to be raising the fence and are looking for handy helpers to help this process along. We have had two tractors donated to the cause for use that day with post hole diggers, The Jalving's and Lanza's. We will have all of the materials at the farm, and a few of the Board members have already volunteered. Over the past months talking about this, we have had many of you express an interest in helping with this project. Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 20 Volunteers Needed to:
  • Set posts in holes (level and fill)
  • Staple fence to posts
  • Hang Gates, etc.
No experience necessary although a few with fencing skills would be very helpful.
 
Donations of fencing material are also, of course, welcome.  We need the following materials:
  • 761 ft of 4' field fence with barbed wire at the top stapled on 4" wooden posts
  • 2 12' gates
  • 1 14' gate

Don't forget to pack some water, lunch and work gloves.  There will be a horse show going on at the Equestrian Center next door so come out and visit Lake Helen!
