The Local Organic Vegetables Everyday garden program builds free raised-bed vegetable gardens for under served and low-income Volusia County, Florida residents and the institutions that serve them.  Participants receive raised beds, fertile soil, seeds, vegetable starts, a LOVE Gardens Growing Guide and ongoing assistance free of charge.  After the initial installation by experienced staff, each participant will plan and plant their own gardens, allowing the participant to take ownership of the LOVE Garden and learn how to start, take care of, and maintain a vegetable garden plot. 

To qualify for a free LOVE Garden, participants must live within Volusia County and have a low-income.  Those with higher incomes may receive a LOVE Garden for a donation that will support building gardens for low-income residents and/or under served institutions.  LOVE Gardens make great gifts too!  Contact Community Roots for more information about giving the gift of a garden, that will provide healthy, fresh food most of the year.
